The Bible made simple – the A, B, C’s or fundamentals of how to apply the Word of God to your life, situations/ circumstances and transform or change them, to what you desire or want, that is consistent with the Word of God.
And God said, “Let there be light”, and there was Light – Genesis 1:3
God changed darkness to light by first believing, what He spoke and then opening His mouth and speaking it. He changed a negative situation/ circumstance, to a positive situation/ circumstance by believing the positive situation/circumstance and speaking it. Notice that nothing happened, until God opened His mouth and spoke the positive situation/circumstance or His Word. Also notice, that God did not speak, what He saw, but He spoke, what He wanted to see. And while God was believing and thinking about, what He spoke, nothing happened, until He opened His mouth and spoke it. God demonstrated how He operates and will always operate, from the very beginning. And this is the pattern through out the Bible. God always first believes and then speaks something , before it happens, sooner or latter. God always speaks, what He wants to see or happen and not what He sees or is currently happening. And if Almighty God, has to open His mouth and speak His Word, for what He believes to happen, then humans, who were created to be like God, cannot expect anything to happen by just believing, without opening their mouths and speaking, what God has already spoken! God is a creator, who created the world, with His Words, so every Word that God has spoken, has creative power or force, to create, whatever, that particular Word says!
Then God said, . . . . . . and it was so. . . . . Then God said, . . . . . . . . and it was so. . . . . . Then God said, . . . . . . . . and it was so. . . . . . . . . Then God said, . . . . . . . . and it was so . . . . Then God said, . . . . . . . . . and it was so. . . . Then God said, . . . . . . . . . . . . and it was so. . . . . Then God said, . . . . . . . . . . . . and it was so. . . . . Then God said, . . . . . . . . . . .. and it was so. . . . . . Then God said, . . . . . . . . . . . . and it was so . . – Genesis 1:3,6,9,11,14,20,24,26 & 29
In the book of Genesis, the very first book of the Bible and the very first chapter, notice that before God could do anything, that He believed, He opened His mouth and spoke it first. Nothing happened, until God spoke, what He believed! Also notice, that God spoke, what He wanted to see or happen and not what He saw or was happening. And again, while God was believing and thinking about what He spoke, nothing happened, until He spoke it., each and every time. God created the world by first believing it and then speaking it. So, if the world was created by believing and then speaking it, that also means the world or situations/circumstances in the world, can also be changed by first believing and then speaking, the very same spoken Word of God, that created the world. Therefore, situations/circumstances, in our lives can also be changed, by first believing the Word of God and speaking it – the very same, Word of God, that created our lives and the world. But the Word of God, must be believed and spoken by us, for God’s power to be released in our lives or situations/circumstances. And if the spoken Word of God can create the world, then the very same, spoken Word of God can also make changes or adjustments to what it created or it’s creation. Similarly, the Japanese, who created the Toyota car, can fix anything, in the Toyota car they created, no matter the damage or complication. The same is true of the Germans, who created the Mercedes Benz car. The manufacturer/maker/creator of any product or device, can fix anything that may be wrong, in or with their creation, even if they have to re-create it from scratch. And every creator or manufacturer, including God, also has spare parts, for their creation or device. And if human creators, who were created by God, can easily fix, their creations, why wouldn’t God also easily fix His creation? Human creators, who were created by God, cannot be better than God?
God, Who gives life to the dead and calls those things, which do not exist, as though they did – Romans 4:17
God speaks, what He wants to see or happen, as if it is so already. Almighty God transforms or changes non-existent situations/circumstances/conditions, into existence by simply believing, what He wants and speaking His Word. God does nothing without speaking it first. This is one of the major characteristics of Almighty God. God speaks or talks of situations/circumstances, as if they exist already, even though they don’t, because He believes, that once He opens His mouth and speaks it, it becomes so. It is this faith or confidence, that transforms or changes the situation/circumstance, to the desired reality.
Then God said, “Let the land(world) produce . . . . . . . . . according to their various kinds”. And it was so – Genesis 1:11
Again, from the very beginning, after creating the world by speaking His Word, God opened His mouth and decreed or commanded, that everything in the world, must produce according to it’s own kind. This is a spiritual law, as well as a natural/physical law, that operates 24/7, just as the law of sowing and reaping or like the law of gravity. Ever since, God spoke, in Genesis, everything in the world, has and will always produce after its own kind. So cows will always produce cows, corn will always produce corn, evil will produce evil, good will produce good and so on and so forth. Cows will never produce pigs and corn will never produce beans. Furthermore, the spoken Word of God, will always produce, whatever it says, sooner or latter. For example, the spoken healing Word of God produces healing, sooner or later, when spoken by those who believe, that the Word of God, has the authority of God and the spoken protection Word of God produces protection, when spoken, by those who believe, that the Word of God, has the power of God. The same is true of any other spoken Word of God, on any issue. Likewise, negative words or words contrary to the Word of God spoken by humans, who believe those words, knowingly or unknowingly, sooner or later produce negative outcomes or results. That is why the Bible says, death and life are in the power of your tongue(Proverbs 18:31). In other words, our fate or destiny, depends or hangs on, what we believe and speak. Also note, that death and life is not in the power of God, Jesus, angels, the devil or the situations/circumstances, but in your tongue or what you speak!
Then God said, “Let us make mankind, in our image, in our likeness . . . . . . – Genesis 1:26
God created mankind or humans, to be like and operate like God, by first believing and then opening their mouths and speaking the Word of God, over their lives or situations/circumstances, in order to change or transform them. Just believing the Word of God, without opening your mouth and speaking, what you believe, will never ever, change or transform any situation/circumstance! Generation after generation, people have believed in God and His Word, but nothing ever changed in their lives or situations/circumstances, because they never opened their mouthsyy and spoke, what they believed! You have to open your mouth and speak, what God has already spoken and keep speaking it, until things change or are transformed for the better. By speaking the Word of God, you acknowledge and declare that you believe, that His Word is true, therefore giving God permission to operate in your life or situations/circumstances. Humans are not God, but they are like God, meaning they were designed or created to operate like God, without being God. In other words, humans are a lower form or version of God, mini-gods, if you like. Understand that you do not have the power, to make what God spoke, to happen, but you have the power, to open your mouth and speak, what God spoke, so God can do, what He spoke for you. Your job is simply to believe and speak, what God spoke, therefore reminding and challenging God, to do what He spoke. God has no choice, but to do for you, what He spoke, when you believe and speak, what He spoke! Always remember, that you cannot do, what God spoke, only God, Himself can do, what He spoke. If you could do, what God spoke, you wouldn’t need God. Your job is to continually remind God, of what He spoke about mankind, the blessings He pronounced for those, who believe, just as a lawyer argues a case in court, based on, what the law says. That’s why it is very important, to know what God has spoken and what He never spoke. Because God will only do, what He spoke or promised to do. No lawyer goes to court, without first checking, what the law says about, his/her case. And no serious Christian, who wants a good outcome, should ever approach God, without first checking, what God has spoken, about that particular issue or situation/circumstance. Don’t take your case, to Almighty God’s court, ignorantly. Prepare and do your homework, so you can argue your case, with knowledge and confidence.
Therefore, be imitators of God, as children imitate their father – Ephesians 5:1-2
If you are going to imitate God, you will have to copy or follow how God operates, by first believing and then opening your mouth and speaking the Word of God, to accomplish something, because God always believes and speaks, what He wants, before it happens. And if we could not imitate God, God would not have told us to do so. Whatever God has commanded us to do, He knows, we are capable. After all God is our creator and knows better than anyone, our capabilities and limitations. Every Word, that God spoke, was activated and remains active forever, to do whatever it says, for whoever will believe it and speak it over their life or situations/circumstances. As the saying goes, the ball is in our court. What God does or doesn’t do, for us is really up to us. The issue is, what are we going to do, and not what is God going to do. God has already done everything, that He is ever going to do for us. We cannot wait on God, because God is waiting on us. God doesn’t have to do anything, for our situations/circumstances to change, we have to do something. God is waiting on us, to start believing His Word and speaking it, over our lives and situations/circumstances. So, if we do not believe and are not speaking, what God has already spoken, God’s power will never ever be released, in our lives and nothing will change. God is like the radio station, that broadcasts 24/7, to whoever will tune in, to the station. Just like the radio station, that you grant access to you, God doesn’t do anything for you automatically, without your permission, to access your life or situations/circumstances. In both the Old and New Testament, the people that got results, are those who believed and opened their mouths and spoke, who God is and what God had already spoken.
I believed, and therefore I spoke. We also believe, and therefore speak – 2 Corinthians 4:13
The early Christians imitated God, by opening their mouths and speaking the Word of God, which they believed, so it could become a reality or produce results in their lives or situations/circumstances. It is not enough, just to believe the Word of God. The Word of God must be spoken, for it’s power to be released in our lives or situations/circumstances, just as God speaks everything first, before it can happen or take place. If the early Christians, spoke the Word of God, in their lives, situations or circumstances, why shouldn’t we?
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him…..,and said ‘no longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you, a father of many nations – Genesis 17:1-5
God opened His mouth and spoke that Abram, whom He renamed Abraham was a father of many nations, when Abraham was ninety-nine years old, with zero children and zero chance, of ever reproducing! God did not speak, what He saw or felt, but He spoke, what He wanted to see or happen, as if it had happened already! The name Abraham means, father of many nations. God changed Abraham’s name, in order to change, what Abraham spoke, of himself and what others spoke of him. So, each time Abraham introduced himself or when family and friends, called him, they were speaking, that Abraham was the father of many nations, when Abraham had no children. In other words, Abraham and everyone around him, were speaking, what God had spoken, even though it contradicted, what they saw or felt. By speaking, what God had spoken, Abraham’s physical condition, began to change, until he was, able to become a father, just as God had spoken!
God also said to Abraham, ‘As for Sarai, your wife, you are no longer to call her Sarai, bur call her Sarah… ..she will be the mother of nations… – Genesis 17:15-16
Sarah was ninety years old, with zero children and zero possibility of ever conceiving, when God opened His mouth and declared that she was the mother of nations! And just like her husband, Abraham, God changed her name, in order to change, what she called herself and what family and friends called her. The name Sarah means mother of nations. So, just as with Abraham Sarah and everyone around her, called he ‘mother of nations’, which is what God had spoken. And like anything spoken by God and believed, and spoken by mankind, Sarah went through a physical transformation and conceived.
God blessed them…………….. – Genesis 1:28
Notice, that God didnt just believe, what He wanted for mankind, but He went further and opened His mouth to pronounce blessings on mankind by speaking His Word, to be fruitful or productive and to subdue or overcome, the world ( situations/ circumstances). God wanted, nothing but blessings for His creation, mankind. Also, notice that God never ever cursed mankind, but blessed mankind, both past and future. Adam was the representative of all mankind, past and future. Whatever God spoke about Adam, He spoke to all mankind. And if God finds it necessary to open His mouth and speak, what He wants, for it to happen, who are we not to do the same? We may be humans, but we were created to be God-imitators, in dealing with our lives and situations/circumstances.
So God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them…. – Genesis 9:1
After the flood, the only remaining humans were Noah and his family. They represented all mankind, past and future. And once again, God opened His mouth and blessed all mankind, through Noah and family, just as He did through Adam, in the very beginning! But notice again, that God never ever cursed mankind! God has always wanted His creation, mankind, to be blessed in every way.
The seed is the Word of God…….. – Luke
Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior, said that the Word of God is our seed, to grow whatever, we want in our life, situations/ circumstances or the lives of loved ones. In both the spiritual world and the natural/physical world, everything starts with seed. That means, if we want healing in our life, we will have to sow or plant healing seed, which is the healing Word of God, in our lives. And the same applies for any need. For any need in our life, we must sow or plant the seed of the Word of God, that addresses that need. No seed sown or planted no harvest or crop! The same is also true, in the natural/physical world.
Behold, a sower went out to sow . . . . . . . . And yielded a harvest: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty – Matthew 13:1-9
True Biblical Christanity is like farming, according to Jesus. Jesus informs us, that when we sow seed, which is the Word of God, there will be a harvest, but the harvest will vary from person to person, depending on commitment, time spent and other related factors. Some will reap hundredfold or 100%, while others lesser. Note that only those who sow or plant seed get a harvest or crop. A harvest or crop is never automatic. Both in the natural /physical world and the spiritual world, the only people that reap a harvest or crop, are those who sow or plant seed. In the natural/physical world, which we are more familiar with, the only farmers that reap a harvest or crop, are those who sow or plant seed. You can call yourself a farmer, but unless and until you actually sow or plant seed, you wont reap a harvest or crop. You don’t reap a harvest or crop, because you are a farmer, you reap a harvest or crop, because you sowed or planted seed. Similarly, you can call yourself a Christian all your life, but unless and until, you sow or plant the Word of God, by regularly opening your mouth and speaking it, in your life or situations/circumstances, you will never reap a harvest or crop. A harvest or crop is not automatic , in both the natural/physical world and spiritual world.
Whoever sows sparingly, will also reap sparingly and whoever sows generously, will also reap generously – 2 Corinthians 9:6
Whoever speaks the Word of God sparingly or infrequently will also reap or get sparing results, and whoever speaks the Word of God generously or much more, will reap or get more from it. The spiritual world operates just like the natural /physical world. In the natural/physical world, the more seed you sow or plant, the bigger the harvest or crop, you get. And the less seed, you sow or plant, the smaller the harvest or crop.
So is My Word, that goes out from my mouth: It never returns to me empty, but accomplishes what I desire and achieves the purpose for which I sent it – Isaiah 55:11
Any Word that God has spoken or speaks never returns empty, but always accomplishes, what He desires and achieves the purpose for which He sends it. God had never spoken any empty or worthless Words nor will He ever speak any empty Words. God only speaks with a purpose, to accomplish something. Every Word of God, if believed and spoken, sooner or later accomplishes, what it says. Just like seed, sown or planted in the ground, under the right conditions, sooner or later, grows and eventually produces a harvest or crop.
I am alert and active, watching over My Word to perform it – Jeremiah 1:12
God is always watching over His Word, so He can perform it, in our lives and situations/circumstances. And so, if we are not speaking His Word in our lives and situations/circumstances He has nothing to watch over and perform. If God was going to perform anything in our lives, situations or circumstances, without hearing us speak His Word, there will be no need for God to be alert and watch over His word. God is waiting to hear us speak, what He has already spoken, so it can happen in our lives or situations/circumstances.
Man/woman shall not live on bread alone, but on every Word, that came from the mouth of God – Matthew 4:4
This is from the mouth of Jesus Christ, Himself or from the horse’s mouth, as they say on the street. He reminded us, of what God spoke in Deuteronomy 8:3, in the Old Testament that just as humans need physical food , every day, to live or survive, they also need spiritual food or the Word of God, to live or survive. And if we only needed physical food, to survive in this world, Jesus would not have wasted His time, to tell us about the importance of consuming spiritual food, which is the Word of God. The above scripture, also informs us that we cannot just depend on medical science/natural medicine, for our healing, but that we also need spiritual medicine, which is the world of God. Combine both when sick. Medical science has it’s limits, but the Word of God or spiritual medicine, has no limitations.
It is written . . . . . . . . . . . It is written . . . . . . . . . It is written . . . . . . – Matthew 4:4-10
Three times in one day, when Jesus was confronted with negative situations
/circumstances, He opened His mouth and responded by speaking what is written or what God had spoken. And Jesus triumphed, every single time. Jesus quoted, what God had already spoken in Deuteronomy 8:3, Deuteronomy 6:16 and Exodus 23:25. He never spoke, what He saw or felt, but what God had spoken. As Christians, Jesus is our example. He clearly showed us, how to deal with negative situations or circumstances, in our lives. But of course, Jesus, like God operates on a much higher faith level, so He can speak the Word of God, only once and change any situation or circumstance for the better. As for us, it may require speaking the very same Word of God, more than once, for days, weeks, months or even years, depending on the situations or circumstances. So, when you are confronted, with negative situations/circumstances, are you going to speak, what God has spoken, like Jesus or are you going to speak, what the world says, what you see and how you feel?
…..that it might be fulfilled, that which was spoken………. …………..that it might be fulfilled, that which was spoken…….. …….that it might be fulfilled, that which was spoken……….. …that it might be fulfilled, that which was spoken……….. ….that it might be fulfilled, that which was spoken……. ..that it might be fulfilled, that which was spoken – Matthew 1:22, Matthew 2:15, 17 & 23, Matthew 4:14, Matthew 8:17, Matthew 12:17, Matthew 13:35, Matthew 21:4, Matthew 27:9 & Matthew 27:35
Notice that only what was believed and spoken previously, gets fulfilled! And that means, whatever is not believed and spoken, won’t be fulfilled. Opening your mouth and speaking, what you believe, is very important, in spiritual matters.
And they (disciples) went out and preached…….the Lord confirming the Word, through the accompanying signs – Mark 16:20
Here again, when the disciples, went out to preach or speak the Word, God confirmed His Word, with signs like healing and deliverance from negative situations/circumstances. The take home message, is unless and until, someone opens their mouth and preaches or speaks, the Word of God, Almighty God has nothing to confirm or fulfill. God never automatically confirms or fulfills, His Word in anyone’s life or situations/circumstances, without someone opening their mouth and speaking or preaching it. Speaking what God has already spoken, is a big part of Christianity.
He/She who believes in Me, the works that I do, he/she will do also – John 14:12
Jesus Himself assured us , that as believers or followers of His, we will be able to operate, the same way He did. He opened His mouth and spoke ‘What is written’ or the Word of God, and things changed for the better. And if we could not operate, the very same way, that Jesus did, Jesus would not have told us that we could.
Whoever says, to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea” and does not doubt in his/her heart, but believes that those things, he/she says will be done, he/she will have whatever he/she wants – Mark 11:23
Whoever speaks the Word of God, to the problem, situation or circumstance and does not doubt, but believes that the Word of God, will do, exactly what it says, he/she will have what he/she speaks. Notice, that speaking is mentioned three times in the above scripture, which also illustrates it’s importance.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue – Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of what we speak, with our own mouth. We can speak life or we can speak death. You can speak, what God has already spoken, which is life or you can speak, what everyone says or human experience, which is death. Similarly, you can speak healing or you can speak sickness. You can speak protection or you can speak insecurity and so on. Whatever words, you speak and believe, sooner or later produce, what you spoke.
The words that I speak to you, are spirit and they are life – John 6:63
Jesus always spoke the Word of God, which is the source of real life. And because the Word of God, contains life, it can resurrect or transform, any dead or negative situation or circumstance.
Consider the Apostle and High Priest of Our confession, Jesus Christ – Hebrews 3:1
Our confession is our spoken Word of God. Jesus is our apostle and High Priest, who brings our spoken Word of God, to God’s attention. And if we do not speak or confess, the Word of God, Jesus Christ, our high priest, has nothing to present to God, on our behalf.
Whatever you forbid on earth, shall be forbidden by heaven and whatever you permit on earth, shall be permitted by heaven – Matthew 18:18
Whatever you forbid on earth, by speaking the Word of God, will also be forbidden by heaven, and whatever you permit on earth by speaking contrary to the Word of God , will be permitted by heaven. Notice, that according to Jesus, the power or choice of what happens or doesn’t happen in your life or situations/circumstances, is in your hands and not up to God, Jesus, angels, the devil or situations/circumstances. To be exact, what you speak determines, your fate or destiny.
For everyone born of God, overcomes the world. This is the victory, that has overcome the world, even our faith – 1 John 5:4
Everyone born of God or who has declared that Jesus Christ is His/her Lord and Savior, overcomes the world. And this victory of overcoming the world is possible by believing and speaking the Word of God, over our lives or situations/circumstances.
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, day and night, shall not cease – Genesis 8:22
According to the Bible, as long as the earth or world exists, there will always be seedtime or sowing time and harvest or reaping time. In other words, as long as the earth or the world exists, there will always be time to sow the Word of God, in our lives by speaking it and time to reap or harvest, what the Word produces, just as in the natural or physical world, there will alway be the need to sow or plant seed, in order to reap a harvest or crop later.
For whatever a man/woman sows, that shall he/she also reap – Galatians 6:7
The opposite of that scripture, is also true. Whatever a man/woman does not sow, that he/she will also not reap. Both in the natural/physical word and the spiritual world, seed must be sown or planted, before any harvest or desired outcome, can become a reality. Only those, who sow or plant get a harvest or desired outcome. In the natural/physical world, no farmer, expects a harvest, without first sowing or planting seed and in the spiritual world, neither should any Christian, expect a desired-outcome, without first sowing or planting seed, which is the Word of God.
If you confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart, that God raised him, from the dead, you will be saved – Romans 10:8-9
If you open your mouth and sincerely declare, that Jesus is your Lord and Savior and believe in your heart, that God raised Him , from the dead, you shall be saved or born again, from spiritual death to spiritual life. When you confess or speak, that Jesus is your Lord and Savior, you become a Christian and join God’s family, and therefore entitled to claim and enjoy, whatever God promised. This same principle applies, in getting anything from God. So, if you speak with your mouth, the healing Word of God and believe that you are healed, you shall be healed.
So, then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God – Romans 10:17
So, then faith only comes by hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing, the Word of God, with your own ears, spoken by your own mouth! The more you hear the Word of God, the more your faith grows and the more you get what you want.
Yet, the news about Him, spread all the more, so that crowds of people, came to hear Him and be healed of their sicknesses – Luke 5:15
Notice that, even during the earthly ministry of Jesus, people heard the Word first, before they were healed ( to hear Him and be healed) , because faith only comes by hearing. They had to hear the Word first, before being healed. If it was possible to have faith for healing or anything, without hearing the Word, Jesus would not have wasted time, preaching or teaching the Word?
A large number ……………. from all over Judea, Jerusalem and Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases – Luke 6:17-18
Here again, the people had to hear the Word first, so they could have faith, to be healed. If the people, during the time of the earthly ministry of Jesus, had to hear the Word, with their ears before being healed, then the people today, also have to hear the Word, to be healed and everyone, in the future.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen – Hebrews 11:1
Now faith, in the Word of God, is the evidence, proof or assurance, of the things or blessings, that we are believing to receive, before we actually receive them physically. And notice that faith is always ‘now’. The Word of God is always spoken, as if it has already happened, before it actually happens. If God spoke it, it is done already, guaranteed no doubt about, even though it hasn’t happened yet. By speaking the Word of God, as if it has happened, you are declaring that you believe God and that He always keeps His Word, by doing exactly what He said, sooner or later.
We put bits in the mouths of horses, to make them obey . . . .we can turn the whole animal. And although ships are so large . . . .they are steered by a small rudder. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body . . . . it sets the course of one’s whole life. . . . . – James 3:1-3
Horses are easily controlled and directed, where to go by a very small bit, placed in their mouths. And ships, no matter how large, are easily steered by a small instrument called a rudder. Likewise the tongue, in the mouth of humans, may be small in size, but what it speaks directs or determines the fate or destiny, of one’s whole life.
Praise the Lord! Glory to God!
